RESOURCES
Following on from a ‘Side-by-Side’ event, here are resources to use as a group, to journey further into understanding, and implementing the “art of accompaniment” in your community. These are resources based on two years of research and development, involving nearly 300 people exploring their experiences of accompaniment and being accompanied. They have been designed to help us all to encourage and support a culture of genuine accompaniment in our communities.
How it works:
The resources will help you explore the general principles of accompaniment, the role of the accompanier, how to create a safe environment and how to apply accompaniment in your own context (e.g. as parisioners, school teams, youth ministers, catechists, parents). Gather in groups for 1-2 hours using the videos and PDF Conversation Frameworks to guide you. We have deliberately left the sessions flexible for you to use how you wish. The most important aspect is that you accompany one another.
Begin by downloading the introduction by completing the form below. We ask for your email so we can keep in touch with you as further resources are added here. Then scroll down to the numbered sessions below (They will be uploaded to this site as they become available). If you have any questions about the use of these resources, please contact dannyc@millionminutes.org
