Dorothy Day Award Recipient for fostering community and participation
Reizel, 18, is a student at Notre Dame High School in Norwich. She has a strong faith which guides her through her life as a young Catholic.
She is the president of the school's SVP Conference for Sixth Form students and has forged great links both within and beyond the school community. As SVP president, Reizel has led the organisation and running of a school break time club, where many of the more vulnerable Year 7 and 8 students are able to meet in a safe and positive community and build confidence in making friends.
Reizel has also established strong links with a local residential home for the elderly where the residents love the SVP group's visits. The manager there has explained that Reizel has a natural ability to communicate and connect with the elderly and has a gift for caring and empathising with others.
