Million Minutes invites you to be part of SiLENT 2026, our inspiring campaign rising vital funds to support our work with young people across the country. Since 2011, SiLENT has empowered people to embrace silence as a powerful act of reflection and solidarity. Silence has deep roots in the Christian tradition, especially during Lent—it’s a time to pause, reflect, and listen.

During Lent, we are asking you to stand in solidarity with silenced young people. By participating in SiLENT, you’ll amplify the voices of those who are often overlooked and unheard- standing in solidarity with marginalized young people and helping to create a world where every voice matters.

With SiLENT, we want to encourage everyone to listen, reflect and empathize, to create a deafening silence this Lent.

  • Our SiLENT campaign has been a powerful initiative over the last 15 years, inspiring people to take a stand by staying silent and praying for those who often go unheard. 

    The campaign creates a reflective space for people to understand the power of listening and standing in solidarity with the marginalised voices of young people. During Lent, since 2011, friends and supporters of our work have pledged an amount of time to be silent, gained sponsorship, and raised awareness of the voices of young people. 

  • We run SiLENT because we feel Lent and 'silence' is an essential part of the Christian tradition and because sponsored silence allows us to raise money for our work with young people across the country, work that amplifies the joys, sorrows, ideas and energy found in the voices of young people.

  • Young people hold a powerful vision for the future—a vision full of hope, possibility, and change. But they cannot do it alone. Together, we must listen, stand with them, and work hand in hand to turn their vision into reality. Shape a brighter future for us all. Let’s rise to this challenge, united in purpose and action. 

  • The money raised goes straight back into our work at Million Minutes across the country.  

    We exist to create a Church where young people take transformative social action, rooted in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and to listen to, understand and respond to the evolving needs of young people. 

    1. Pledge your support to young people today and sign up to SiLENT 2026.  

    2. Set up your online fundraising page by going to the JustGiving link and hitting the “Start Fundraising” button. Set up your personalised fundraising page to tell everyone why you are pledging to be SiLENT! 

    3. Spread the word! Send your JustGiving link as far and wide as possible! Post it on social media and send it to friends and family. Tag Million Minutes on social media and use #SiLENT2026
