ITS TIM ETO CELEBRATE YOUNG PEOPLE BANNER.png

At Million Minutes we know and believe young people are amazing and they deserve to be recognised and celebrated. In every school, parish and local community young people (aged 11 to 25) are continually making our communities and our world a better place. To highlight these amazing individuals, we celebrate young people both locally and nationally year round. Every 18 months we put on the national Celebrating Young People Awards. Nominated by friends and family, teachers and clergy, award recipients are drawn from throughout England and Wales and reflect achievements in every area of social action. Our 2019 recipients included young carers, a parish youth group, peer mentors, climate change activists, a volunteer ship visitor, a fifteen year old who supports his local food bank, and a homeless centre campaigner among many other extraordinary individuals.

“Young friends, don’t wait until tomorrow to contribute your energy, your audacity and your creativity to changing our world. Your youth is not an “in-between time”. You are the now of God, and he wants you to bear fruit.” (Pope Francis, Christus Vivit, 178).
